ThZM Network Forum at AWM

On October 28th, we had the pleasure of hosting the Network Forum of the Thüringer Zentrum für Maschinenbau (ThZM). With the kick-off meeting of Focus Group H, the final of all nine focus groups has officially launched. This completes the 2026/2027 cohort, bringing together a total of 44 Managing Directors from companies across Thuringia.

The meeting centered around exchanging perspectives on current business challenges and exploring how companies can actively drive digital transformation.

Dr.-Ing. René W. Scharn, MBA, provided compelling insights into how we at AWM integrate Artificial Intelligence into our data structures. A key highlight was showing how we tailored the implementation specifically to our unique corporate requirements to develop a customized model.

Once again, it became clear that transformation is no longer just a strategic challenge—it is an economic necessity. To remain competitive in the future, companies must evolve continuously. Doing so requires courage, openness, and a willingness to explore new paths.

Equally important is peer exchange. No company has to navigate this path alone. A strong network creates the opportunity to share experiences, learn from one another, and develop new perspectives together.

We would like to thank the ThZM and all participants for the open and constructive dialogue. We are already looking forward to continuing Focus Group H in January!

Also attending were Steffen Lübbecke (Steinbeis Qualitätssicherung und Bildverarbeitung GmbH), Mario Franke (Electrotechnical Solutions GmbH) and Christian B. Töpfer-Kerst (ebd.).

Shaping the future together – we look forward to the next insights!
